There seems to be a noticeable difference. It has been hard for me to tell what was swelling and what was my old chin until this weekend. There were hints of change though- I have been sending a weekly photo to my mother. Mothers will usually tell you what you want to hear, but mine has a practiced southern style ability to be politely truthful. She has mentioned for a couple of weeks that my jawline appears to be more pronounced- the chin part well; she hasn’t said much about it.

The second hint came from a friend I last saw 2 days before my initial appointment and again about 5 days ago. She immediately commented and asked how I was doing. She said she noticed a difference immediately and could still identify where swelling remains.

From my point of view, there is a change in my jawline and my fear is solving one problem has created another. JOWLS. Never noticed them before because the neck was in the way. Apparently the neck is not as much so now I need a new solution. The swelling is abating and the neck is shrinking and there does appear to be tightening. The non-visible healing process is slower. My neck is numb and occasionally sore. The soreness moves around and is accompanied by slightly more pronounced swelling which goes away pretty quickly. These incidents are not noticeable to anyone except me, and I believe I feel them more than they are at all visible.

Next week marks 1 month and I will be making my appointment for round 2. Got to make sure that I schedule carefully, even though most say swelling is less the second time.
