It has been 8 weeks and I am excited for round 2. My appointment was scheduled for in the afternoon and other websites and the doctor said the swelling would be less the second time.  Just in case, I am prepared for 72 hours of hiding or anonymous interactions- mostly.

The second visit coincided with a visit from the pharma representative and it was great to ask questions. The rep, like the doctor, made me feel at ease. Together, the two placed and discussed the placement of the injections sites. It is my current understanding there are 10 units per bottle and my treatment consists of 20 1 unit injections per visit. I am paying for 2 treatments- and am expecting to return for a 3rd trip outside of the special pricing advertised.

The injections went a bit wider than the first set. My concern was the possibility of jowls after seeing a difference in the under part of my chin. The shots covered those areas. The procedure matched the first visit. Ice for 5-10 minutes, and then steady pinch and pull. There was minimal pain, some deep relaxing breaths saw me through a couple of more painful pricks. My chin again went numb but without the burning sensation of the first round. Swelling began almost as quickly and within an hour I was ready for more ice.

Once home, I felt sore and swollen but did not need another ice-pack. The next morning, the swelling reached its peak. Since there is less neck fat, my neck looks only slightly bigger than it did prior to my first treatment.

Today, the fullness is abating, but the “jiggliness” is there along with a hard lump stretching across the underpart of my chin. I did manage to go for breakfast with a friend who sort of looked at me and was too polite to say anything. I did take a few minutes to explain.

The best part of all is I sent a photo to a friend and her comment summarized the change, “subtle but so much better.” I can’t wait for the final result.
