Somewhat disappointed would best characterize my feelings the last couple of weeks. Despite receiving more medicine and 10 extra injections, there seemed like there is next to no progress. The puffy, jiggly swelling did recede after the first week. The soreness and tenderness persists and my skin feels soft and a bit like the novocaine in your mouth is wearing off after the dentist. One is aware of touch, but its really more the pressure of the touching. I think I was hoping for faster shrinking given the swelling was less overall.
This morning marked 2 weeks and 2 days since the second injection and in my weekly photos, the difference did seem more visible. Its almost a relief- I was beginning to feel that it was 2 steps forward, 1 step back and the net effect would be the same as the first treatment. Today, is more hopeful.
