I started back to work after a long vacation break. It has now been 3 months since the last round of injections. Interestingly, I had my haircut about 8 weeks ago to a style that I often revert too except this I added a few layers. Since, no one expects one’s chin and jawline to be undergo a transformation most of the comments are connected to my hair.
“Great Haircut,” “The new haircut defines your features,” “Did you lose weight?” “Hey, Did you do something different with you hair?” And so on. Its really quite reassuring and flattering and pretty new for me, too.
I don’t think its the haircut everyone really notices…its what they think they notice. Admittedly, there has been a 4-5 lb weight loss too, but if anything it has helped enhance the separation between my chin and neck. My chin is rather small and my head a bit pecan-shaped. My weight has changed this much before and without the number of compliments. What made it different this time? Kybella, I am sure of it.
Was it worth it? Definitely. Not sure if one more round would help though. There is some lose skin around my neck and chin. Dissolving more fat might just cause sagging. Sometimes its important to know if enough is enough. I think if more tightening is needed, its probably going to be small surgical fixes. After being self-conscious for 30 years, I love my new look, especially the “haircut.”
